Auroral Kennel is located on 10 acres in Michigan.
Having grown up with Poodles, a Springer Spaniel and a Newfoundland, Jon got his first Borzoi in 1986 and soon after Jennifer became an integral part of
Auroral.
Together, Jon & Jenni have produced Best in Show, Multiple Best In Specialty, and
Multiple Group Winning, Multiple Top Ten Borzoi.
In 2002, Ch. Auroral's Avalanche retired the Carol Ann Stell Memorial Challenge Trophy,
and in 2004 he retired the Insight Bred-By-Exhibitor Trophy.
We have been awarded the Hall of Fame "Breeder", and "Service" awards
from the Midwest Borzoi Club
(MBC).
As members of MBC, and the Borzoi Club of America (BCOA),
we abide by
their code of ethics in trying to produce a limited number of Borzoi
that
exhibit
the Auroral type, with emphasis on both sound movement and temperament.
Jon has served on both Boards of MBC &
BCOA.
He is currently the AKC Delegate for BCOA.
Jenni is currently MBC Vice President, and a variety of other Committee
Chairs,
mainly including Spring Specialty Chair (again in 2009).
In 2007, Jon was
nominated by "Dogs in Review " magazine,
as one of the 5 Top
Owner Handlers in the U.S.
Jon is licensed to
judge Borzoi & Papillons.
